Can I unsubscribe from QuickBooks?

Greetings! It's hard to see customers canceling subscriptions, but we understand you have your reasons, so we want to ensure you're guided through the process to achieve this goal.

If you'll no longer be using your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, it's best to cancel the subscription to avoid getting billed for the monthly subscription. Know that your QuickBooks company will remain accessible for one year after cancellation, but you can't delete, add, or modify your data. Just make sure to export all reports and lists needed to back up your data and for record keeping before cancelation.

You can go through the Gear icon and then Account and Settings to unsubscribe your account. To guide you further, here's how you can do it:

1. Sign in to your QBO account as an admin user.
2. Go to the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
3. Select Billing and subscription.
4. Go to the QuickBooks section and click Cancel.
5. You will see a multiple-choice survey on reasons for canceling your subscription. Once you have filled it out, select Continue to cancel.
6. You will see a page that details product benefits and the last day you can use your subscription. Select Continue to cancel.
7. Click Got it.
