Hi there, @5069. I'll discuss some details about suspending a QuickBooks Online (QBO) account for a specific period.

Before we dig deep into this matter, know that I understand that you have other things to do that don't involve using the QuickBooks program. Also, I want to help you save money by giving you the best options for handling these situations.

As I've checked on my resources, the option to suspend an account for a set of periods is unavailable. However, you have two options to deal with the billing side of this matter. You can either cancel your subscription or continue it. For the second option, please be aware that QuickBooks won't charge you for those months you've received QuickBooks Online as free. They'll only charge you for those months you haven't processed payment for your monthly subscription.

For option two, furthermore. Even if you've never processed any payment to settle your monthly billing subscription, you can still access your data but will only as a View-Only access user. That said, you won't be able to make changes within your files or company but can only review them.

You can visit this article for more information: Get help with your suspended subscription.

Additionally, here's an article to help you manage your QBO subscription: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

In case you choose to cancel your account, and then later on changed your mind, here's how you can re-subscribe to QBO: How to resubscribe to or reactivate QuickBooks Online.
