How do I correct a negative leave balance for an employee?

Hi miriaml,

 

You can record a Leave Adjustment line in a pay run to change an employee's leave balance. This can be done by following the below steps in an existing pay run, or by creating a new pay run just for the purpose of the adjustment. Either way will record the adjustment and it does not matter which option you choose:

 

  1. Select the Employees tab, then the Pay Runs menu.
  2. If creating a new pay run, select New Pay Run and enter in your preferred dates etc, then Create. If amending in an existing pay run, click on one of your pay runs to open it up. 
  3. Select the employee's name to expand their information.
  4. Click the green Actions button (look to the bottom left below the employee's information), then Adjust Leave
  5. This creates a Leave Adjustment line. Choose the leave category, and enter the units depending on what you would like the balance to be. For example, if the balance is -10 hours and you would like it to be 15 hours, enter 25.
  6. Select Save, then Finalise Pay Run.
