Welcome to the Community, timarnot5711.

To amend the pay run, you can either unlock and re-finalise the pay run or create an ad-hoc pay run. You can only unlock a pay run if automated super payments have not been made.

To unlock a pay run:

  1. Click on the Employees tab.
  2. Select the Pay Runs tab, and then click the pay run to amend.
  3. Click on the Pay Run Actions button, and then select Unlock.
  4. Enter a note in the Comment box about why you're unlocking the pay run.
  5. Click Unlock.

Once the pay run is unlocked you can make the corrections, save it and then finalise it once again.

If super has been paid for the pay run, you can create an ad-hoc pay run using the same pay period, pay date, and earnings and then enter a minus value for the hours worked. And then, click on the Actions button to Add Earnings and enter a figure in positive value.

Then, to submit the amended information to the ATO you'll need to create an updated pay event. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Employees tab, and then select the Reports tab.
  2. Click on Single Touch Payroll under the ATO Reporting column.
  3. Click on Create Update Event button.
  4. Select the financial year and pay schedule, and then click Create.

All of the employees year to date details under the pay schedule selected will show on the list.
