Is there a way just to show the account name eg just "insurance" , not "expense account sub account of admin" etc etc etc.... ?

Thanks for being part of the QuickBooks family. Let me point you in the right direction about changing an account’s name.

The option to show insurance alone and not include the sub-account when creating a transaction is unavailable. We’re constantly working towards providing better features and services. To stay up to date on the latest product improvements, you can visit the QuickBooks Resource Centre.
