It wont allow me to hit next when editing an employees details in setup. it freezes up

Hi mackay-johno_8,

 

If all the required fields have been entered (phone number, name, address etc), a common reason that you get stuck on this setup is that the employee's address isn't able to be located (this uses the Google Maps feature which may or may not recognise the address). Try entering in another address such as your own to see if you will be able to continue. You can change this once the employee has been created and added to your books by simply clicking their name and updating their address.

 

If this does not resolve the issue, you can also try clearing your browser's cache to be sure there is no old or invalid data that is restricting you from proceeding. We'd suggest using Chrome for the best experience with QuickBooks Online, and you can do so by:

 

  1. In Chrome, hold down Ctrl+Shift+Delete and a pop-up will appear on your screen. You can also access this by selecting the Chrome menu (top right corner, three dots in a vertical line) and clicking More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.
  2. Select the option 'clear cached images' and make sure the other two options are unticked.
  3. Select the time range All Time, then Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Once this is complete, the pop-up will disappear. Please restart your browser and log in once more.
