Question

Ive noticed something strange, my guys have 10 days sick leave each year, which seems to accrue properly , but when i deduct 8hrs leave, it only takes 0.3 hrs off him

the leave accrues properly @ 80hrs a year, but deducts incorrectly. maybe i have it set up wrong

Thanks for posting in the Community!

 

You can add leave taken on the pay run by using the Leave Taken option. Let me guide you how:

 

  1. From the payroll dashboard, open the unfinalised pay run.
  2. Click on the employee to open the earnings section.
  3. Click on Actions, and select Take leave.
  4. Under Leave Taken section, select the leave category, and enter the Units/Hours to take.
  5. Click on Save.
  6. From the current page you can click on Leave Balances to see if the leave balance hours has ben reduced.

 

If this is the steps you've taken and the issue is the same. Please check the Leave category settings and verify the payment set up. Here's how:

 

  1. Click on the Payroll Settings.
  2. Click on Leave Categories.
  3. Select the leave category, and scroll down to see the Payment set up.
  4. Check if you have it in Custom.
