There has been an increase in the award rate of pay for employees effective 1 October 2020. Will QBO automatically update each employee pay rate for this change?

Thanks for reaching out. While the system does not apply the update automatically you will definitely be notified when these are available. You will see this in the notifications section on the Employees landing page and also under Manage Awards in the Payroll Settings. 

You can then choose to apply the updates as and when you need to. For more information on updating awards please see here
