What is keypay and why can I not get a payroll report without this ?

KeyPay is our payroll integration partner that give Quickbooks Online customers the ability to process their payroll in their businesses.

KeyPay can be accessed both outside Quickbooks (by logging in via https://keypay.yourpayroll.com.au/) or within Quickbooks by simply selecting the Employees tab.

All Payroll reports on Quickbooks Online are only accessible via the Employees tab (KeyPay)
