Question

Why is the Payroll and Employees section available via the desktop app but not when logged in via the internet on any browser (we've tried all 4).

Hi accounts90,

Welcome to QBCommunity!

Just wanted to ask, what do you see on the browser when you access Employees?

Here are some troubleshooting steps that I'd like you to try:

  1. Clear your cookies and cache: Hold Ctrl + Shift + Del while in a browser for shortcut access to this.
  2. Enable third party cookies - here is how you do it on Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en and Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences
  3. Try opening QuickBooks in an Incognito (Private) Window and check if you're able to access Employees there.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

We found the cause - third-party cookies were disabled for security on the browsers yet apparently required for the yourpayroll.com.au data to come through.  By adding in the yourpayroll.com.au domain as well as the intuit.com domain to allowed cookies, it allowed us to retain the security of blocking cookies yet the required data to be displayed.

Hi accounts90,

Glad that hear that enabling third party cookies worked for you! Definitely also a great idea to isolate domains to just intuit.com and yourpayroll.com.au to reinforce browser security.
