I want to be able to divide my customers by class for contact purposes

Hi there spriddleluck.

 

It's vital that all your transactions be entered correctly so that your accounts can have the correct balances. Class tracking is a great way to keep track of transactions so income and expenses can be divided even more specifically in reports. I can provide some information about class tracking. 

 

In QuickBooks online, there isn't the option to add a default class to a customer to be able to have all of their transactions be of a certain class. Each line of a transaction can have a class applied to it, but they do need to be selected individually. I can see that this would be a feature that could streamline your process for entering your transactions. I recommend leaving feedback for our developers by clicking on the Gear icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are considered when designing new features for the program.
