Hi I have hired two employees and am needing to start a payroll and already have quickbooks for sales ( billing my customers). Can I do it with my current account

Can you do payroll from basic quickbooks app

Hi alphadograw-nort.

 

Adding Payroll to your QuickBooks Online account is a great way to get your employees paid and having the program do all the calculations for you. I'd be happy to help you get Payroll added to your account.

 

As long as you have QuickBooks Online Easy Start, Essentials or Plus then you can add payroll to it. In order to add Payroll to your QuickBooks Online account you'll need to go to Payroll on the left hand menu and add it from there or you can go to Gear>Accounts and Settings>Billing and Subscriptions. You can follow the steps in this article to set up Payroll as well.

 

Payroll also only works when you're using the browser version and will not allow you to run it on the app.
