Hi there don-mahon,

 

It's vital that all your transactions are entered correctly for your totals to be accurate. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of expenses and sales in order to see the financials of your company. I can provide some information about filters in reports and lists.

 

In QuickBooks Online, when clicking on certain lists, like the Sales Tab, then All sales, or Expenses, then All expenses, as well as in Reports, there is the option to add a filter by clicking on Filter. there isn't the option to add custom filters, as all the filters that can be applied to every individual list or report are available in the Filter menu displayed. I can see how being able to add custom filters can help you manage the transactions seen in your account. I recommend leaving feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear Icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration when designing new features for QuickBooks Online.
