Question

I have items in inventory at one cost and I'm adding additional items (same item) at a different cost. How do I do this without creating a separate inventory item?

Hi milway-arthurs.d,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! QuickBooks Online is a versatile program that enables you to get your work done faster. I'll be happy to provide more information on adding same inventory at different costs.

For the time being, QuickBooks does not allow you to maintain price lists for the same product with different costs. You would need to add a separate new inventory for each different cost.

This would be a great opportunity to leave feedback, which you can share with our product development team via these steps: How do I submit feedback? The team reviews the feedback sent to them and considers it for future updates to the program, so it's a good way to share with us how QuickBooks Online could be enhanced to optimize your workflow.

If you have any other questions, I'm here to help.
