when extracting an ageing summary it reflects those customers/suppliers with zero balances which include no invoices/bills only deposits/cheques/payments/journal entries which cannot be matched and cleared / aged. Kindly advise how to clear these allowing for it to be removed from the ageing analysis.

Welcome aboard to the Community, adilam.

Let’s filter the reports so customers/suppliers with zero balances will not show on the aging analysis. Customising it should only take a couple of minutes.

Here’s how:

  1. Tap the Reports menu on the left panel to enter A/P Aging Summary or A/R Aging Summary in the field box.
  2. On the report’s page, set the correct date range in the Report period drop-down.
  3. Go to the Show non-zero or active only section and then click the drop-down to choose Non-zero.
  4. Click Run report to view the changes.

Let me share the Customise reports in QuickBooks Online guide for additional resources. It provides an overview of how to personalize the data on a report as well as instructions on how to perform this task.
