Why do I get uncategorised income in my trial balance

I'm here to provide clarification regarding the uncategorized income reflected in your Trial Balance report and offer a solution for addressing this issue, Bilsbury.

Uncategorized income may appear in QBO reports due to transactions not matching with existing accounts. This can occur when unapplied cash payments are recorded before sales forms or without proper matching. We'll have to assign the correct category for the entries to fix the issue. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon in the upper right and select Chart of accounts under Your Company.
2. On the Chart of accounts screen, look for the Untegorized Income and click the Run report link to view the list of entries.
3. On the report's screen, choose Switch to classic view.
4. Click the Report period drop-down, and choose the correct date range.
5. From the list, open each entry to see the transaction details and then assign the correct category.
6. Click the Save and close button.
