Can I run a general ledger account report for multiple accounts for a specific period?

Note this is for cost of sales in particular, but it has not been set up in a parent/child type relationship. Therefore it looks like I have to add each account separetly in the filter option.

It's good to see you posting in the Community, Kerri.

Let me share information in running the report you need.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can run a general ledger account report for multiple accounts for a specific period. However, if the accounts aren't set up in a parent/child relationship, you would need to add each account separately in the filter option to generate the report for the cost of sales. Doing this will allow you to include the specific accounts you need for the report.

To run the report, here's what you'll need to do:

  1. In the left menu, select Reports.
  2. Go to the For my accountant section.
  3. Select General Ledger.
  4. Click the Customise button in the upper right-hand.
  5. In the Filter section, choose the accounts you want to display.
  6. Set the Report period and other necessary filters.
  7. Click Run report.
