I've got a way on how you can sort an account report by amount in QuickBooks Online. Let me show you how:

1. From the Accounting tab, select Chart of Accounts.
2. Under the Action column, choose Run Report.
3. Click the Customize button and go to the Rows/Columns section.
4. Select the Change columns link.
5. In the Select and reorder columns section, drag the Amount box to the top by pressing and holding the 9-dotted square.
6. Click Run Report.

Once done, go back to the report page and click the Sort drop-down arrow and choose either Ascending or Descending.
