Analyzing your financial data is key for growth, Aay Kay. I appreciate you wanting more customization and classification on your reports. I understand you want to have the trial balance modified to better suit your financial analysis needs.

The trial balance report in QuickBooks summarizes the balances across all general ledger accounts for a company at a specific point in time.

This financial report displays the debits and credits in each account to allow for checking that account balance and transactions are being recorded properly.

For now, we're unable to customize or classify the report by opening, movements, and ending balances. Rather, the report simply displays the summed debit activity, summed credit activity, and the resulting overall balance for each general ledger account.

While this option is currently unavailable, I would recommend sending feedback to our engineers about getting more options when it comes to running the Trial Balance Report.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear or Settings icon and select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feedback or feature request.
  3. Click Next to submit feedback.
