Unrecognised column headers We didn't recognise all of the column headers in your CSV, we only support the following: Date, Reference Number, Journal Code, Account, Description, Debit, Credit, Name, VAT, Location, Class. The column headers we couldn't map are: Journal Code

Importing journal entries enhances the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of financial record-keeping. Let’s work together to identify the cause of the issue and find a solution, Marty.

Before we proceed, can you explain how you acquired the template containing all the necessary information? Additionally, which QuickBooks Online (QBO) region are you using? Currently, importing journal entries is only available in selected QBO International regions, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the US.

If you're using a QBO subscription that supports importing journal entries, the error you get may have been caused because of some browser-related problems. To fix this, let's perform troubleshooting steps to solve this issue. You can log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private window using the shortcut keys below:

    • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
    • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
    • Safari: Command + Shift + N
    • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

This deletes all cookies and browser history, making your browser brand new and error-free. Once done, check to see if the error is gone. If it is, go back to your main browser settings and clear the cache

Sometimes cached files and data can cause a webpage to reload or loop. Also, some browsers have an automatic page reload setting which can cause issues like this. But if the issue persists, you can switch to another supported browser.

Also, please know that you should only have this information to successfully import journal entries. I've added a screenshot for your reference:

I've also provided a helpful article that explains the import process in detail. Although it may be based on the US version, it serves as a comprehensive guide to assist you with the steps involved: Import Journal Entries in QuickBooks Online

Once you're able to import journal entries, QuickBooks also offers different kinds of reports that you can filter specific information so you'll be able to get the right data for your business. Read this article for more details: Customise Report in QuickBooks Online.
