We'll generate your report using the customization settings, African. Rest assured, I'm here to help you navigate your monthly sales report and ensure we'll get the total amount smoothly in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, we can customize a report to suit our business needs. It allows firms to analyze their financial data in ways that are most insightful and relevant to their unique operations.

Here's a breakdown of how you can customize reports in QBO:

    • Choose Reports: Locate any reports you need
    • Report Period: Adjust the reporting period, such as Last Month, This Year, Custom Dates, etc.
    • Accounting Method: Choose between Cash or Accrual basis.
    • Display Columns by: Change how the data is summarized (e.g., by month, customer, vendor, item, etc.).
    • Change Rows/Columns, Filter Data: Decide which data fields to include or exclude in the report.

Next, we'll pull up a report to achieve your goal.

    Here's how:

    1. Choose Sales report from the list under the Reports tab.
    2. Set the Reports Period to Custom and choose Accounting Method.
    3. Click the Customise button on the upper left side of the screen.
    4. After that, untick unnecessary checkboxes.
    5. Proceed to the Filter section. Choose your preferred data to display.
    6. Once done, press the Run Report button.

By customizing your reports in QBO, you can extract and analyze the precise data you need to make informed business decisions. Refer to this page for more information: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online using modern view.
