I have removed/deleted a category inadvertently. How do i bring it back?

Hi there, grandhivecoffee.

 

I'll share steps on how to bring it back the deleted category.
 

I suggest visiting the Audit log page to view the list of deleted categories. This way, you're able to see the detailed info of category and manually enter it back to the list.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Audit Log.
  2. From the Filter drop-down menu, select the appropriate user, date, and event(s).
  3. Select Apply.
  4. Locate the deleted category.
  5. Under the History column, select View.
  6. All the information needed for the transaction can be found under the Event column.

Once done, you can now manually re-enter the category with its original transaction information. Please follow the steps below.

 

  1. Click the Sales menu at the left panel. Then, select Products and Services.
  2. Choose the More drop-down arrow and select Manage categories.
  3. Hit the New category button and enter the name of the category. Note: If you need a create a sub-category, select Is a sub-category checkbox and the main category.
  4. Click Save.
