Question

I want a Reports Only User to be able to view Projects. Is it possible to add Projects to the list of reports available to a Reports Only User?

Let me help you understand the user roles, @ccf2.

A reports-only user can only access all reports except for payroll or anything showing contact information.

This type of user is unable to view Projects. However, you can change the role of the user by adding them as a Standard User. Let me show you how to manage user role:

  1. Go to the Gear/Settings ⚙ icon.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Locate the user you want to edit. Then select Edit in the Action column.
  4. In the User Type drop-down ▼ menu, select the new user type.
  5. Select the user settings, if applicable.
  6. Click on Save.
  7. Ask the user to sign out and sign in again into QuickBooks Online to see the updates.
