If I am selling to retail and corporate clients and wish to show the sales in separate ledger accounts, how do I do this maintaining inventory as well

Glad to have you post in the Community. I'd be happy to steer you in the right direction by separating the retail and corporate clients in your ledger account in QuickBooks Online. 

 

We can set up different accounts for retail clients and corporate clients. Then we can add the items once set up is finished. Here's how to create an account: 

 

  1. Select the Gear icon, and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click New at the top right.
  3. Set up the account.

Then, we can run reports Sales by product and service detail to view the each items added in each account.
