Question

The P&L widget on the Dashboard doesn't offer Financial Year to date options. Is there a workaround for this, as Calendar YTD P&L is no use to me.

My financial year runs from 1st August - 31st July so the P&L widget should offer a Financial YTD P&L option.

Yes, there's a workaround, hghjkjkhjkhjk. I'll guide you on how to do it below.

While we're unable to offer the Financial Year-to-date option in the Profit & Loss widget on the Dashboard, you can run and customise the Profit and Loss report instead to get the data you need. To do this, here's how:

  1. Go to the Profit & Loss widget on the Dashboard.
  2. Click the See profit and loss report link.
  3. Set the Report period to Custom.
  4. Manually input your financial year date (for example, 2023/08/01 to 2024/07/31).
  5. Select Run report

After that, you might consider printing, emailing, or exporting your reports for future reference. For the step-by-step guide, check out this article: Manage your reports in QuickBooks Online.
