Hello Jim,

Exploring the different reports that are available to you in QuickBooks Online is a great way to get a snapshot of your business's progress. The Balance Sheet Comparison report shows what you own (your assets), what you owe (your liabilities), and what you invested (your equity) compared to the previous year. Let me give you a hand to ensure that the data from the previous year is pulling in this report.

The Balance Sheet Comparison report should show you a comparison of this year versus last year by default. There are 3 columns in the report, the first displaying your accounts, the second displaying the current year-to-date, and the third displaying as of this date last year. Under Compare another period you can choose whether to compare against the Previous period or the Previous year. Ensure that one of these options is checked off from the dropdown so that your report will pull data to compare against, rather than just pull the data from the current Report period. You'll have to hit Run report again after you make any changes to the report details at the top.

If this doesn't quite do the trick, you may be experiencing an issue with the images and files stored in your browser's cache and cookies. Please run through the troubleshooting steps below and then run your Balance Sheet Comparison report again to see if the issue has been resolved.
