Question

Can I set the system so that the period of all reports is fixed? I am working on 2022 and do I need to constantly keep changing the date to cover Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2022?

It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  Having the option to set a default date to reports, is a great way to prevent having to reset it each time.  QuickBooks Online Accountant provides the option to set a default date range, making it easier to review a specific time period.  I would be happy to assist! 

 

Please note that setting the date range will only change your view, and not what the client will see.  


Follow these steps to create a default date range;

 

1. Open the Accountant Tools and select Reports options

2. Choose a time period from the ▼ dropdown in the Date field and customize the date range in the From and To fields

You're all set!  All reports and tools are set to this date range.

Thank you for the response.

 

Accountant Tools - Reports option, does not bring up any field to customize the date.  Where do I find the date field choose the From and To dates?

The reports options automatically opens to enable you to set a specific date range for your reports.  If you're not seeing this, or the page is blank, I recommend clearing the cache on your browser. I also suggest opening your QuickBooks Online account using another browser such as Firefox, Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, or a private browser.
