Can someone help with YE Jan 1st, RE is not correct, Net Income from prior year to Jan 1st 2021 is showing in current year Jan 1, 2022, instead of Retained Earnings?

Thank you for joining Community.  Welcome!  Having the ability to customize your reports for specific dates is a great way to review information based on your task at hand.  QuickBooks Online allows you to customize your reports.  I'd be glad to assist!

When you go to your report, select the drop-down arrow for the Report Period and choose Custom.  Enter the specific date range and then click on Run Report.  With regards to the fiscal year, there's currently no option to set it to a specific day of the month.  However, if you'd like to provide a suggestion to our Development Team, you can do so by going to the Gear icon in the top right of your account and select Feedback.  We appreciate any recommendations you may have to improve your customer experience with QuickBooks Online.
