Customizing the management report headings for Non-Profit

I'm using QB Essentials for a small non-profit organization, and have to change some of the account names of statement headings to suit the industry.  For example, the use of Retained Earnings is not applicable for an NPO.  I can change the headings in the standard reports, but what about those in the management report heading?

Hi there JBrown1,

Thanks for being a longtime member of the QuickBooks family and Community. I love that you're customizing reports and headings for your non-profit organization - this is a great way to ensure that the data you're viewing properly captures your business' needs. QuickBooks Online is equipped with tons of options for customizing reports and headings, even when it comes to Management Reports. I'd love to show you how!

To change the headings for Management Reports, please follow these steps:

  1. From the Reports menu, choose the Management reports tab.
  2. Choose between Company OverviewSales Performance, and Expenses Performance and select a Report period
  3. Use the down arrow in the Action column to Edit
  4. Edit the Cover pageTable of contentsPreliminary pagesReports, and End notes by selecting the corresponding page from the left bar.
  5. To edit Report titles, click the Reports page and use the Edit pencil on the right to change the TitlePeriod, or include Comparisons. You also have the option to Add new report to your management report by using the blue hyperlink at the bottom of the Reports page.
  6. Remember to Save your report when you've finished editing it.

There are lots of options for customizing your Management reports so I hope you'll start the process and play around to get familiar with what you're able to do. If you run into any issues or have any questions, I'm just a reply away and am happy to continue giving you a hand.

Take care and enjoy your day!
