Question

Employee pay history is not showing up on YTD numbers on pay stubs, or anywhere else on any reports. How do I solve this?

Hi there pbc@pbcsweetnam,

It's vital that all your employee's payroll details are correctly entered into the system so that their totals at the end of the year can be accurate. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool able to help you calculate net pay, deductions and contributions for your employees based on their hours worked for the pay period. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with payroll totals.

If your payroll totals aren't appearing on any employee forms or reports, it may be browsing data stored on your system that's affecting the software's display. Temporary files such as cache, cookies, and others can accumulate and cause errors in display in any internet-based software like QuickBooks Online. Here are some steps to resolve any issues caused by browsing data:

If the totals still don't show up after trying all of these steps, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account with you in a secure environment in order to see how the totals were entered to help make sure they appear correctly. You can reach out to them using one of these options:

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
