Question

Hi, I'm trying to make a journal entry with accounts receivables. It's obligatory to add the name of the client in the name field. When I added, I have the same mistake.

I have an error from the system telling me that I have to add the customer in the name field of the journal entry, but, it's already added.

Thanks for reaching out here.  Welcome!  QuickBooks Online is a dynamic program for all of your bookkeeping needs.  It's important that you're able to create journal entries without error.  I'd be happy to assist!

 

In this situation, I suggest deleting the current journal entry and then, clear cache on your browser.  Create a new journal entry making sure the name for the A/R account is a Customer and not a Supplier.  If you experience the same result please contact us outside of Community, for further review and investigation by our Development Team, if required.

Hello,

I am having the same issue. I cleared my cache, made sure I am in accountant copy, and still get the Something's not quite right - When you use AR, you must choose a customer in the Name field.  There is a customer in the name field.  I used a couple of other browsers as well, and get the same message.

I appreciate you trying the troubleshooting steps provided above. Since that didn't work, I feel you'd benefit by reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to see why your getting this error message.
