Hello sandyesposito,

Working with journal entries in QuickBooks Online can be a handy solution for entering details into your books that aren't possible through other built-in features like invoicing and expensing. I know it's just as important to manage these entries as it is any other, and I'd be happy to direct you to how to delete your duplicate journal entry.

Pulling up journal entries can be done in a few ways, but unlike invoices, expenses, and other transactions such as those, there isn't a designated section to review the entries. Because of that, you can pull up the transaction using methods like reviewing an account in the chart of accounts or a report. To keep things simple, I recommend using the Journal report. Visit the Reports tab, then search Journal. Click the report title to run it.

This report will show you all transactions in QuickBooks since they each create a back-end transaction journal linked to the original transaction. Don't worry, this doesn't duplicate your numbers. All it does is show you the accounts used in the entry in a journal format rather than something like the invoice interface; it's still the same transaction otherwise. To narrow down the entries in the report, you can use the Customize button to filter for just journal entries or specific dates. Here's an article that can walk you through customization options: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online

Once you select a journal, it'll open the entry for you, and you can select More at the bottom of the window. From that menu, choose Delete; there isn't a way to void the entry at this time.

That should take care of things for you, so don't hesitate to give it a try. I'll be here if you needed any further clarification or help with tackling your duplicate journal entry.

Have a great week.
