Hello MRLALi,

 

It's awesome to hear that you've completed the QuickBooks Online Certification exam! This certification can help build confidence in you with your clients or even potential clients who you'd like to connect with through the program. I know how important it is to have the correct name on any documents, and I'd be happy to walk you through how to correct the name on your certificate.

 

The name that you see on your certification is linked to the name that you have entered in your Intuit Account. This means that's where you'll want to start in order to change the name to what you need. Here are the steps you can take.

  1. Go to accounts.intuit.com.
  2. Enter the same login credentials you use for your QuickBooks Online Accountant account.
  3. Click Manage personal info.
  4. Verify the spelling of your name.
  5. If you need to change it, click on the name.
  6. Change the spelling and click Save.

Once you're happy with how your name is showing there, there's just another few clicks to trigger this change in our system. To do this, it's as simple as launching a new training session and then closing out of it. Follow along with these steps.

  1. Go to qbo.ca.
  2. Hover over Sign in and choose QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  3. Enter your login information.
  4. Go to the ProAdvisor tab.
  5. Click the Training tab.
  6. Choose Self-paced for Ways to learn.
  7. Click a video, then exit out of it.

Take a look at your certification after that to verify the spelling of your name. If it's still not right, the QuickBooks Online support team can take a closer look at your account to help you out with this. Since examining your account means sharing account details, the QuickBooks Community isn't a great place to do that with it being a public forum. Here are the options you can use to get in touch instead.

 

Schedule a Callback or Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat. Support is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
