Hi joel4,

It's great to hear from you again, and I'm thrilled to see you're still working with QuickBooks Online. I know how details like being able to see a product list with the suppliers that sell the items would be useful for keeping in your record and working with your data. I'd be happy to highlight some reports in the program that may help.

QuickBooks Online has a good select of reports, and while there isn't a "product list by supplier" report, I can show you a couple of the reports that do exist that may help you see the information you're looking for.

The first report I'd like to touch on is the Product/Service List report. When you run this report through the Reports tab, the program brings up a comprehensive list of each product and service item in your books. By customizing the report, you can narrow down the options to see only products if you'd like and you can add a column to see the preferred supplier linked to that item if that's what you're looking to see. Here's how to do that.

  1. Select the Reports tab.
  2. Find or search for the Product/Service List report and select it to run it.
  3. Click the Customize button on the report.
  4. Click Change columns.
  5. Check off Preferred supplier.
  6. Click the Filter section.
  7. Check off Products/Services.
  8. From the drop-down menu, choose the products you'd like in your list.
  9. Click Run report when ready.

Again, this won't sort the report "by supplier," but it'll still give you the supplier information so that you can do with it what you'd like.

For a report filtered by supplier, you can consider something like the Purchases by Supplier Detail report. This produces a list of purchase transactions organized by supplier and includes a Product/Service name for you to see which items you bought from them.

If those reports don't quite do the trick for you, I recommend exploring the other reports in QuickBooks Online to see what you can find. Here are some helpful articles for this process.

The Run reports in QuickBooks Online article also goes over how to export a report, which may be useful to you if the built-in reports aren't meeting what you're looking for. For instance, you could export the Product/Service List report to Excel and then reorganize it the way you need.

Don't hesitate if you have more questions. Enjoy your day!
