How to stop automatic payment recording towards an invoice

Hi, I have discovered lately that QuickBooks is changing the status of unpaid invoices into paid and the payment method mentioned is checking although my customer did not pay and also I have not recorded the payment manually. 

 

How I can stop this error from happening because it is very confusing to follow up on the payments if quickbooks marking unpaid invoices as paid automatically! Please help

Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help keep your books balanced. I would be happy to provide some information.

 

There isn't a way that QuickBooks can automatically change the status of an invoice. If you're transactions are being uploaded to the bank feed, I recommend checking any Bank rules that you or other users have created. If there isn't a user that has created a Bank rule regarding the change of status for invoices, I encourage you to reach out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details, as well as view your screen to better assist you. I also recommend  reviewing the Audit log by heading to the Gear icon and selecting the Audit log in the TOOLS column to see user activity. You can reach the support team by following one of these methods:
