I am trying to make a USD Bank Account in Canadian QBO inactive. The register shows a Zero balance, however the account on my balance sheet has $721

Welcome to Community!  In QuickBooks Online, you'll have the ability to make accounts inactive when the balance is at zero.  Based on the information you've provided indicating the difference between the balance sheet and the register, we'll need to dig a little deeper.  I'd be happy to assist!

If the balance sheet is showing an amount but the register's at zero, it could be related to a duplicate transaction.  I suggest clicking on the amount appearing on the balance sheet to review what it's related to.  Then go to the Chart of Accounts, Account History and locate the item to see if it's been previously reconciled.  This would indicate the transaction is a duplicate and can be deleted.  If this is the case, go back to the transaction from the balance sheet and delete it from the More option at the bottom of the page.  You should now have the option to make the account inactive.
