I can't find undeposited funds account in my chart of accounts. I've checked all accounts, including inactive. Can someone please outline the steps to set up?

Thanks for reaching out. Being able to access your accounts in QuickBooks online is essential to ensure your books are accurate. I'll be happy to guide you through this. 

 

QuickBooks automatically creates the Undeposited Funds account  when setting up your chart of accounts (CoA). To lookup for an account in your CoA, follow these steps.

  1. Select the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click on the gear icon to include inactive if the account was inactivated.
  3. Type the account name or number in the Filter field and locate your account.

If you can't find your account, this could be due to a browser issue. Temporary internet files that accumulate in your browser over time can sometimes cause bugs in the software.
