Question

I have payroll cheques from two years ago showing up as uncleared in my reconciliation report that had been cleared already. How do I fix this?

    Thanks for reaching out here.  Welcome!  Reconciling your accounts in QuickBooks is a great way to ensure your books remain balanced.  When uncleared items are listed, there are a couple of areas to review.  I'd be glad to help!

     

    When uncleared transactions appear in your list, you want to ensure they aren't duplicate entries.  If the transactions are duplicated, you can delete them.  However, this can have a negative impact on other areas of your books.  It's best to speak with an accounting professional for the best course of action.  If you don't have an accountant, we can help you locate a ProAdvisor in your local area.
