I lost a connected card and have connected a new card number that's part of the same account. Do I make the lost card a sub account of the new card to track past charges?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online is a  dynamic program with options to ensure your books remain organized.  I'd be glad to provide some insight here!

 

When you have two accounts in the Chart of Accounts that contain the same information, you can merge them together.  In addition, you can create sub-accounts, to break down account types into more detail.  However, in your situation, I suggest contacting us outside of Community, so we can review your QuickBooks goals in more depth, and provide the best course of action.  With your consent, a member of our Customer Care team will be able to navigate through the processes with you, and ensure you're able to accomplish your QuickBooks goals as soon as possible!

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
