I want to enable account numbers to my chart of accounts, went to advanced settings, edit, and the feature won't turn on. Any ideas?

Customization is the name of the game and we make sure that you have every opportunity to do that in QuickBooks Online. I'd be happy to go over how to get your account numbers showing in your chart of accounts.

Adding account numbers is a great way to help keep track of your accounts. If the setting is not allowing you to enable account numbers then this may be caused by your browser health. I recommend clearing out your cache and cookies which can be done by following this article. Once you finish clearing your cache and cookies it's recommended to open a new private browser to log into your account. If you can't change the settings still try a different browser or computer incase a security setting is blocking the change.

If these steps don't allow you to change the setting to allow your account numbers I suggest contacting our support team using one of the methods below.
