Question

In order to pay commission, I need a report per class with both the date of when an invoice was issue AND and date of when it was paid. Is there one?

Looks like many have asked for this but has there been a solution yet?

Hi Mayne,


Being able to access the report by class is essential to ensure the smooth running of your business. QuickBooks Online provides the ability to easily view all of your finances through the report feature. I'll be happy to point you in the right direction regarding the class report.

QuickBooks provide a variety of reports to access different information in the system. I recommend using the Sales by Class Detail report to view the invoice by class and the Invoices and Payments Received report to view the date of the invoice and when it was paid. You can refer to the following steps to access these reports.

1. Click on the Report.
2. On the Research tab, type the name of the Report.
3. Select the appropriate report.

If you wish to have new types of reports included in QuickBooks Online,  you can send us your Feedback by clicking to the Gear icon at the top. This is sent to our team developer in the back end to consider for future updates.

You did not answer my question. I already pull this report and can get date of when invoice was issued and can then filter if it is paid BUT need date of paid to properly track a commission. We pay our commissions monthly WHEN the monies have been received from the client, this is why I need the date of when the invoice is paid.

Appreciate you connecting with us on this thread. At this time, there isn't one report that includes all that information. You can refer to the two reports mentioned above as a workaround to get one report by class and the other with the invoice and its payment.

Another option to consider is finding a third-party app that can complete the task that you're looking for. You can find an app under App tab > Find App.
