Is there an easy way to toggle back and forth to multiple companies?

This is a great question. Since QuickBooks Online gives you the option to have multiple subscriptions under the same login information, it makes sense to be able to switch back and forth easily between each of those companies. In fact, that's one of the great things when you have more than one subscription using the same login credentials. I'll go over how you can do this.

When using QuickBooks Online in a browser, it's easy to switch the company you're working in by selecting the Gear icon and then Switch Company under the Profile section. That brings you to the list of your active and inactive companies that use the same login details, and you can then click one from the list to open that company instead. If you'd like to change to another company again, simply follow those same steps.

You can also switch companies while using the mobile app. Depending on whether you're using the Android or Apple app, the location might be slightly different, but the Switch Company option is typically in the same area as the Settings when the app is open.

If you mostly work on QuickBooks Online using a computer, you can also consider the QuickBooks Online app for Windows/Mac, which gives you even more options to switch between companies and work with your books. In this interface, there's a drop-down menu at the top of the window where you can see a list of all your accounts and choose right from there to make the switch.
