Question

Last week we were able to draw sales tax reports for the latest period ended Oct 31st 2019. Now they have disappeared, and only the current period is reflected?

Hi there,

It's vital that you're seeing all your sales tax reports. Don't worry, I'll help with troubleshooting this issue so you can get back to business.

Since you can't see the report anymore, I encourage you to check with your users to verify if none of them deleted the report. QuickBooks Online keeps a list of all the activity in your company. You can see the changes made to your books and who made them using the audit log. It also tracks user login/logout activity, changes to settings, customers, suppliers, and employees.

Here are the steps on how to access the audit log:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Audit Log.
  2. Select Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  4. Select Apply

If you still can't see any data in the audit log, I suggest clearing cache and cookies. Doing this helps by fixing most issues the site may be having. Here's an article which shows you how to do that: How to clear Cache and Cookies.

Give this a try and if you need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach back to me. I'll be on standby. :)
