Merging reports from one company into another

Clients retail and wholesale are separate. Wants to have the retail under the wholesale.   I would like to keep the companies separate and have the reports imported from the retail into the wholesale.  would anyone be able to offer another way or would this work

You can use a BI app to consolidated reports in real time.

Are you able to produce a link?  The only versions of QB able to merge reports from other companies

If the company files have the same CoA, you can use the trial version of QB Desktop Enterprise to consolidate reports. You can use the trial version for good if required.
