Missing reconciliation reports

Hello all, please excuse me if my questions seem silly. My mother passed away so I’m learning as I go to take over the books. I had a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with. 

I had to restart reconciliation from Aug 2022 to date. I go to print and there are random reports missing ?  Everything balances, where did they go !? 

also I’m moving onto the general account, how do I Input GST compared to desktop version ? Can’t find button.

Hi there JodieLedene,

 

It's important that all the transactions in your account are entered correctly for your books to be well-balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of sales and expenses so you know the profit of your company. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with errors with missing reports

 

For assistance with missing reconciliation reports, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to view the error with you through a screen share in a secure environment to provide troubleshooting steps to help you locate the reports or notify our engineers if the error persists. You can reach them using these methods:

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook or X / Twitter

 

When entering transactions, to add taxes, you'd need to use the drop-down options in the Tax columns of the line items, and then select the code you wish to add.

Sorry to hear about your loss.  Kudos to you for taking on the bookkeeping task.  

 

It could be possible the reconciliations were only done every couple of months - rather than monthly.  That might explain why the monthly reports are "missing".  You should be able to see the timeframe of the reconciliation if you look at the individual recs that were completed and are in the history (summary) of bank reconciliation.  

 

For your other question re: GST button.  I'm not sure what you mean --you can't find the button-- (i've not worked on the desktop version. 

In QBO when you enter a bill, the line entry (under Category Details or Item Details) needs to include the correct SALES TAX code so that it will calculate the tax (GST, HST, etc).
