Hi there,

Making the switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online is an exciting process. QBO will provide a ton of flexibility for your business bookkeeping, which is awesome for any on-the-go business owner. It's important that all the information that's been migrated over is properly accounted for in QBO. I'll point you in the right direction for support with this.

If you're not sure whether or not your GST report should be showing a zero balance, please consult with your accountant. The accountant will be able to assess your books and let you know if any numbers are off, or if there are accounting discrepancies.

If you're not yet connected to an accountant, you can find one in your area here: Find a ProAdvisor.

If your accountant confirms that the report should be appearing with a zero balance and you think something may have gone wrong in the migration process, please reach out to our tech support team. There's a lot of moving parts involved in a migration, and there may be various factors at play. I want to make sure you're given all the best advice on how to resolve this.

Our tech support team may also request the involvement of the data services team to ensure everything is migrated properly.

I hope this helps get you on the right track.

Cheers.
