QB pro desktop 2021 active license

I have a QB Pro 2021 desktop version with an up to date subscription.  All updates appear to be done.  I sent an accountants copy to someone who uses QBD 2023 and they can’t open my file.  What do I need to do

Are you using QB Desktop 2021 Canadian Pro edition with a single user license (non subscription)?

Are they using QB Desktop 2023 Canadian Accountant edition?

My edition is a subscription yes I pay monthly.  The other person is an accountant using the 2023 desktop edition

QB Desktop 2023 Accountant edition is only able to open the accountant's copy of QB Desktop 2022 Pro/Premier and 2023 Pro/Premier. Consider to install QB Desktop 2022, create a backup copy on your QB Desktop 2021, restore it on QB Desktop 2022 with a new name, open the the restored file on QB Desktop 2022, and finally create the accountant's copy on your QB Desktop 2022.
