Reconciling cancelled payment

Hi,

I am very new to bookkeeping. I am using QuickBooks online. I have a payment that was made through EFT. It came through in my bank and was reconciled. Come to find out later that it was a failed payment and returned to my account a month later. How do I reconcile this in QuickBooks online in order to balance the account
