Question

Through the Reconciliation tab, there is no option for statements. If bank feeds are setup and active, should QBO fetch bank statements [pdfs]?

Hello andrew-parkinson,

It's great to have you join us here in the QuickBooks Community and I love that you're interested in using the statements feature with reconciling to simplify that process. I'd be happy to go over how this feature works in QuickBooks Online so that you know whether you have the option to get the statements.

The first thing to keep in mind with this feature, which is available in QuickBooks Online Plus, is that there are certain banks it works with, but it doesn't have the option to import bank statements for all banks just yet. The Get bank statements directly from your bank when you reconcile article has a section that outlines the banks this feature works with. If your bank isn't listed there, that means the feature isn't able to fetch the statements for it at this time.

When your bank is there and you're still not seeing the statements, I recommend starting by verifying that you have electronic statements configured in your bank account settings through the bank website. If you're still signed up for paper statements, the program won't be able to pull the statement in for your reconciliation. Once the e-statements are set up, you should start seeing the statement.

If your bank is supported and set up as needed, but you're still not seeing the statements, feel free to contact QuickBooks Online support to troubleshoot. Like bank feed connections in the program, there are sometimes errors that occur that prevent the statements from filtering in, and our teams can help sort that out. Here's how to get in touch.

Schedule a Callback or Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat. Support is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

Social MediaFacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

I also encourage you to submit feedback about this feature for the product development team to see if your bank isn't yet supported. This lets that team know what kinds of connections users are looking for so that they can consider it for future updates. Here are the steps to send your feedback: How do I submit feedback?

I hope that helps!
