Just switched over to QBO.  On my desktop version I was able to filter certain accounts for reports like a Trial Balance(we are a fiscal sponsor for another organization and provide them with their financial reports this way).  I do not see that option in QBO.

Hi Jennifer-TLC,

It's exciting to hear you've made the switch from QuickBooks Desktop to Online. You're going to love the flexibility of an online program. While there's many similarities between QBO and the Desktop version, there are some differences as well. I'd be happy to explain the options available with QBO's Trial Balance Report.

To find the Trial Balance Report in QuickBooks Online, click the Reports tab on the left navigation menu. You can use the search bar for a quick find.

There's a few customization options you can make on the report, such as the number format, date range, and header and footer. You can find those options by clicking the Customize button.

The Trial Balance Report will display all of the accounts from your General Ledger, and at this time, there's no way to filter the report to display only certain accounts. I can definitely see how this could be helpful, and I'd suggest submitting your feedback about this to our product development team for review. We're always looking for new ways to improve the product. You can leave feedback by clicking the Gear icon > Feedback

I hope this helps clarify things for you so you can get back to work.

Have a great weekend.
